One of the best ways to explore the history of Egypt and the Nile is to embark on a Nile cruise. You will be taking in the sights and monuments as you cruise down the Nile and then stopping off at various locations to take the excursions to get a sense and feel for the history and really soak up the atmosphere. Later, upon returning to the boat, you can enjoy an evening meal, followed by some form of entertainment. All good fun and for those who like to dance, a disco is usually on offer some evenings. This is by no means the only form of entertainment, a galabeya party is usually on offer and anything from a belly dancer to whirling dervishes can be part of your evenings’ entertainment.
Go on deck, morning or evening, to enjoy the beautiful Nile views and perhaps take a dip in one of the deck top pools or simply relax in the sun as you gently cruise down the river.
Depending on the boat you chose, the facilities can include a spa, gym, massage, more than one bar or lounge area and all of course have the top deck to relax on, with the majority having an on deck bar and pool. Afternoon teas are also on offer on most of these cruises for a certain number of days, included in the price and the number of days these will be on offer will depend on the duration of your trip.
All the cruises will offer excursions to all the ancient historic sites. Each cruise ship will have its’ own itinerary, however the majority will include Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, Valley of the Kings, Philae Temple and of course a trip into the desert to see Abu Simbel.
