Egypt has a lot to offer whether it’s days on a sandy beach overlooking turquoise waters, or maybe diving or snorkelling is something you hanker for, this is a real breath-taking experience with a veritable garden of sea life and a myriad of beautiful coral and plants; or perhaps you prefer a relaxed Nile cruise discovering the beauty of the Nile whilst visiting the magnificent ancient temples and tombs of the pharaohs. There are a lot of choices. Perhaps bartering is more your thing, where you can explore the many bazaars, buy some perfume or papyrus and enjoy the numerous colourful spice shops with plenty of exotic products to choose from.
The choice of hotels is vast, so if you like to really relax all inclusive is the perfect choice, offering beautiful sandy beaches, spas and luxurious pools. Whether it’s Hurghada with its wealth of nightlife and shopping or a more relaxed experience in Sharm El Sheik you will not be disappointed and sunshine is pretty much guaranteed with Egypt enjoying a year round sunny climate. You have to hand it to the Egyptians they really know how to take care of their guests and in my opinion are one of the best countries at catering for everyone, with a talent for taking on and learning any language they can to accommodate their guests.
And yet you still wonder what is left to be revealed in this land of ancient burials. Due to the robbing of graves and the treasures within, the pharaohs became more and more creative in ensuring their final resting places were never disturbed.
The choice of tombs to visit here are many and some are a bit of a climb but always you get a great feeling of amazement when you see with your own eyes the many paintings and hieroglyphs inside, still containing the vibrant colours they used to paint them with. Due to a lack of rain in Egypt the preservation of these paintings is truly a wonder to the eye. To be able to see something which has retained the colours over thousands of years is something of a rarity in ancient monuments.
